This year America’s oldest manufacturer of fire, rescue and EMS apparatus has turned 175 years old!   American LaFrance has successfully created safe, durable and innovative emergency vehicles for almost two centuries and continues to be a leader in the fire apparatus industry.

To honor this landmark year, American LaFrance will throw a two day celebration planned for Oct. 19th and 20th in Summerville, South Carolina.  To coincide with the 175th anniversary celebration is the company’s new headquarters grand opening.

With so many American LaFrance dedicated customers, followers and buffs throughout the country, the company’s 175th anniversary celebration is promised to be a popular and historical event.  The two day celebration will feature activities for everyone including an antique muster, swap meet, educational seminars on antique restoration, children’s activities and more.  American LaFrance antique owners and buffs are encouraged to bring their own ALF antiques and memorabilia to participate in the muster.
